This Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between ACR Bahamas ("Company") and the person completing this booking ("Renter"). By proceeding with a booking, the Renter agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD
The minimum rental period is three (3) days. Bookings of fewer than three days will not be accepted.
2. AGE REQUIREMENT & VALID LICENSE
The Renter must be twenty-five (25) years of age or older to rent any vehicle from ACR Bahamas. A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of vehicle pickup. Front and back photos of the license must be submitted via WhatsApp prior to delivery. Renters under the age of 25 will not be permitted to operate any ACR Bahamas vehicle.
3. REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT
A refundable security deposit of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00 USD) is required to confirm all bookings. This deposit is fully refundable provided the vehicle is returned: (a) in the same condition as delivered; (b) with a full tank of fuel; and (c) by the agreed return time. The Company reserves the right to deduct from the deposit the following amounts: up to $50.00 for fuel if the tank is not full upon return; up to $40.00 for excessive dirt, stains, or required cleaning beyond normal use. Any remaining balance will be refunded promptly.
4. PAYMENT
The security deposit is collected prior to vehicle handover. The remaining rental balance is due at pickup. Accepted payment methods include: PayPal, wire transfer (RBC, CIBC, Commonwealth, Scotiabank), and cash. Prices are subject to change. The rate confirmed at the time of booking will be honored for that rental period.
5. VEHICLE RETURN
All vehicles must be returned between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the agreed return date. If the Renter is unable to return the vehicle at the agreed time or location, the Renter must contact ACR Bahamas in advance to arrange an extension or alternative drop-off. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.
6. NO SMOKING POLICY
Smoking of any substance is strictly prohibited inside all ACR Bahamas vehicles. Any violation of this policy will result in a deduction from the security deposit to cover cleaning and deodorizing costs, and may result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
7. IN-VEHICLE EQUIPMENT
All ACR Bahamas vehicles are equipped with Bluetooth and/or auxiliary connectivity devices. Any damage, destruction, or theft of these devices will result in the full forfeiture of the security deposit. The Renter accepts responsibility for all in-vehicle equipment during the rental period.
8. HUBCAPS
A fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) per missing hubcap will be charged to the Renter upon return of the vehicle.
9. DAMAGES & LIABILITY
The Renter is fully responsible for any and all damages caused to the vehicle during the rental period, including but not limited to: flat tires, dents, scratches, traffic accident damage, windshield or window cracks, and theft of vehicle or mechanical parts. The Renter agrees to bear all associated repair and replacement costs. ACR Bahamas reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for damages exceeding the security deposit.
10. DELIVERY & COLLECTION SERVICE
Where delivery service is requested, the Renter is responsible for returning the vehicle to the agreed location and time. If delivery service was used and the Renter cannot return the vehicle, ACR Bahamas must be notified in advance to arrange pickup or an extension.
11. BOOKING CONFIRMATION
A booking is confirmed upon receipt of the security deposit and submission of valid driver's license photos (front and back) via WhatsApp. ACR Bahamas reserves the right to cancel unconfirmed bookings.
12. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Bahamian courts.
